This 81-villa mega project is a watershed in luxury tourism development in the Maldives. Aima designed and delivered MEP, architectural and structural components including villas of different categories, front-of-house buildings, jetties, bridges and boardwalks. Rahfalhu Huraa also saw the use of cross-laminated timber on walls and roof – a faster and more efficient form of construction. Built over 44 hectares, the hotel also features a communal ‘Village’, home to several retail boutiques, restaurants, a bakery, a kids’ club and others.
